Birdwatching is a "hot girl hobby"

The media has lately proclaimed birding as ahot girl hobby - and for those who are a bit confused about what that entails, well, it turns out that both Ariana Grande and Pamela Anderson are birdwatchers. For the rest of us, it's obvious that birds are hot, because they've always been that way. Anyone who has seen a stilt or a bullfinch can conclude that from firsthand experience.

For us in Næb, summer has started for many years with a concert at Naturmødet in Hirtshals. That was the case last weekend too, when we played on the Rootsscene for a gathering of the biggest nature nerds in Denmark. Here too, noticeably more young people have started to show up, just like DOF Ung has doubled their membership in 3 years. We're just glad that more young people have opened their eyes and ears to the birds and we look forward to playing for even more happy birdwatchers! Here's a video from the festival in Hirtshals:

Concerts coming up in Hillerød and on Bornholm

We have 2 concerts in the coming weeks. We're playing atFuglefest in Hillerød on Saturday the 6th of June at 3 PM in front of Klaverfabrikken. It's free, and there are plenty of cool workshops where you can go birdwatching all day long.

If you're going to Folkemødet, you can also hear us there. It's also free and takes place on Thursday the 11th of June at 9:15 PM inDanchells tent.

New birds on the way

We're in full swing finishing 4 completely new songs. What they all have in common is that they're about birds that are near-threatened and all the songs are also created to dance to. We aim to have them ready in early autumn. Here's a taste from when we made the song that's about the beautiful yellow golden oriole.
